The Program

The most important stage in the building of a residential home is the preparation stage, defining the program. During this stage a survey of the site is conducted and a meeting is held with the participation of Shaked design professionals and the family to take residence.

Development of the program is based on a number of elements, each of them equally important to, and becoming an integral part of the program and final product. These elements include: an understanding of the family's life-style; familiarity with the construction site, its terrain and conditions; an in-depth understanding of the wishes and needs – both current and future – of every member of the family, from exterior design of the house through the type of exterior and interior raw materials to be used, to the division of the space, any special considerations, and finally the budgetary framework of the family. Careful attention to all of these elements goes into the development of the program and ensures the planning and construction of a Shaked House that is optimally suited to its residents.
